GiGi Tweezerless Wax - Facial Hair Waxing Microwave Formula Review

Ok, so I was getting tired of being self conscious that I had a bit of a mustache going on, something I have been been pondering on forever and I think many women worry about. I found whenever I used foundation it seemed to be even more noticeable and I would ask my boyfriend and friends if they could notice it and I would always here a no, not really or get a joke in return.

I have always worried do I bleach it, wax it, shave it? Is it going to come back 10 times darker? will I get stubble like a man? How bad is this gonna hurt?

Well, after receiving Gigi Tweezerless Wax (over a month ago), I finally decided this was it, I was tired of gigi facial waxworrying about it and besides, I know of women who have done it and never noticed any face stubble on them.

Gigi Facial Wax comes in a little round container with a convenient little handle on it so you don’t burn yourself taking it out of the microwave. I only needed 30 seconds to get it to the right temperature, nice and quick.

Following the instructions I applied it to one side of my upper lip in the direction of hair growth. It dried very quickly and I didn’t have time to smooth it with my finger like the instructions suggested but I found the applicator stick did a fine job.

Once the first section of wax was dry, this was it, there was no going back. I pulled the skin taught and lifted a corner of the wax and ….RiiiiiiiP… quickly pulled the wax off the one side of my lip.

Hmm, that didn’t really hurt as badly as expected, oh no, did I do it right? I shoved my face in the mirror and yep, the hair was gone, minus a few hairs close to my lip that I guess I had missed. Easy enough, I repeated this step on the other side of my lip.

Now for the top, center of my lip and Im done! Because the hair grows in a slightly different direction here, you have to do it separately. Ok, I will be honest here, the middle upper lip hurt a lot more than the sides! I also noticed that the hair on my upper lip went right up to under my nose once I had waxed the lower part of it, so of course, I waxed that too.

I went over a few missed spots and although I expected this to irritate my skin, it didn’t. Of course my upper lip is red and a little numb, but so far, so good. I used my personal trimmer on a few hairs that  were super close to my lip, as hot wax on your actual lip hurts to get off so be careful not to get the wax on your lips!

Overall, I’m glad I finally tried Gigi Microwaveable Facial Hair Wax and am very happy with the results thus far. It was simple and quick and my upper lip is smooth and hair free! I’m curious to see how long before it grows back, I will definitely keep you posted!

Update - it took about an hour for the redness on my upper lip to go away, so be sure you do this on a night were you have no plans.
